Really? Seriously!

Wow! I have fabulous news.  This Pixie is hopping on a plane and actually taking a trip.  Yep.  I'm very happy about that.  Well, not about the flying part.  Just about the trip part.  Even better? I'm bringing Wicked Pixie and Naughty Pixie along for the ride.

No, it isn't another whiz-bang trip to Florida to collect a scholarship.  Perish the thought! It's a trip to Manhattan.  Yep - New York.  I'm so excited that I'm buzzing.  Or is that my mobile phone?

Anyway, it looks like we're heading to the BlogHer conference in New York City in August.  A blogging conference (you ask)?  A blogging conference.  I have never been one - a blogging conference that is - but I've heard a lot of fabulous things about it.  And, after lots of talking with Wicked Pixie and Naughty Pixie, followed by several more rounds of talking with Wicked Pixie and Naughty Pixie - we've decided to do it and make it a little vacation.  After all, we haven't had a vacation in a very long time.

The conference is only two days, but we plan on staying a week.  I'm not sure about the whole idea of New York in August, but I think I'll manage.  The hotel we're staying at is centrally located - an easy walk to Central Park - and I plan on surprising Wicked Pixie and Naughty Pixie with a Broadway show.  And, of course, there will be lots of live blogging and many, many photographs.  But now I suppose it's time for me to get back to work, so I can pay for this trip.
